Despite a winless six-game road trip that featured injuries to a couple of key players, the Chicago White Sox are confident they can bounce back.

"We've been here before," shortstop Tim Anderson said Sunday, according to The Athletic's James Fegan. "It ain't really too much to say. Everything happened right in front of us. We've just got to keep playing.

"The game is going to keep coming, and we've got to keep playing. We'll grind our way out of it."

The White Sox were swept by both the Cleveland Guardians and the Minnesota Twins. They lost outfielder Eloy Jimenez for six-to-eight weeks with a hamstring injury Saturday, and closer Liam Hendriks was treated for back stiffness after surrendering a walk-off home run to Minnesota outfielder Byron Buxton on Sunday.

Outfielder Luis Robert also missed the entire series in Minnesota with a groin injury, while infielder Josh Harrison made just one appearance on the road trip as he deals with a shoulder issue.

"It's been a shitty week," said right-hander Lucas Giolito, who returned Sunday from a two-week absence with an abdominal injury.

After beginning the week with a two-game lead in the AL Central, Chicago now sits in third place, 1 1/2 games behind the Twins, following the team's rough road trip. However, White Sox manager Tony La Russa is focused on holding his team accountable.

"It's not enough to say you played your hearts out. ... It's a tough loss," La Russa said after Sunday's defeat. "A couple times, we were set up to win and we didn't. But we all shared in it. Final score with the whole road trip, we're all part of it, and we'll all wear it."

The White Sox have an off day Monday before they open up a home series with the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday.
