New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo exited Sunday's 10-7 win over the San Diego Padres with an apparent injury after being struck in the head while trying to tag Fernando Tatis Jr. at first base in the sixth inning.

The Yankees announced that Rizzo suffered a neck injury in the collision and left the game for precautionary reasons.

"You kind of get concerned, but he's a tough guy," Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge said, according to The Associated Press. "He's going to have the record for the most hit by pitches in a couple of years. So I think he can handle a lot."

Greg Allen replaced the Rizzo before the top of the seventh.

Rizzo had an RBI single during Sunday's contest and is hitting .304 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs across 53 games this season.
