Aaron Boone is running out of patience.
With his New York Yankees trailing the Tampa Bay Rays 5-0, the always fiery manager voiced his displeasure over a questionable strike three call on struggling outfielder Alex Verdugo - and got himself ejected.
It's the fifth time Boone has been tossed this season and his 38th ejection since becoming the Yankees manager in 2018.
Tensions have been running high lately in the Bronx. Sunday's loss to the Rays dropped the Yankees' July record to 5-10, with several key contributors - including Verdugo - mired in slumps.
Despite the rough stretch, the Yankees remain squarely in the AL East division race and firmly in control of the first AL wild-card spot.
