Twins win 10 straight after sweeping doubleheader vs. Orioles
The Minnesota Twins swept a doubleheader with the Baltimore Orioles to stretch their winning streak to 10 games.
Minnesota won the first game 6-3 behind a three-run home run from catcher Christian Vázquez. The Twins' bullpen was excellent, holding the Orioles scoreless with just two hits across 4 1/3 innings.
Minnesota jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the second contest, but the Orioles rebounded with a six-run third inning to take the lead.
Twins infielder Kody Clemens provided the big swing with his team trailing 6-5 in the top of the eighth, belting a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winner.

"That was a battle today," Clemens said, according to The Associated Press. "Obviously, doubleheaders are a grind. This team keeps just passing the baton to one another, and I thought it was a great team win. This team’s on a roll right now. We just need to keep the confidence up."
The Twins improved to 23-20 on the season after starting 13-20.
Meanwhile, the Orioles fell to 15-26, marking the first time the club has been 11 or more games under .500 since they were 24-35 in June 2022.
