Boston Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow remains confident in manager Alex Cora despite the club's rocky play of late.

"We obviously made a commitment to Alex," Breslow said Saturday, according to MassLive's Chris Cotillo. "We're gonna see that through. Right now, it's about making sure that we're doing everything we can to enable the 26 guys on our roster to help us win as many games as possible."

Cora and the Red Sox agreed to a three-year contract extension worth more than $7 million per season last July, tying the manager to the franchise through the 2027 campaign.

The Red Sox entered play Saturday with a 28-31 record and sit in fourth place in the American League East. They haven't made the postseason since 2021 and have missed the playoffs in five of the past six years since winning the World Series in 2018.

"I think at this point we have to question everything that we're doing, including I question the work that I'm doing as well," Breslow said, according to MLB.com's Ian Browne. "We're all in this together. I think the solution is going to come from the group that we have. But I think we have to put everything on the table."

The Red Sox hired Breslow in 2023 after firing Chaim Bloom from the same position.
