Blue Jays' Guerrero to undergo MRI after experiencing hamstring tightness
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. left Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifth inning with left hamstring tightness.
Sportsnet showed video of Guerrero pointing to the back of his upper leg during the first inning. He remained in the game and made a defensive play in the third inning in which he did the splits.
Guerrero is scheduled to undergo an MRI, though manager John Schneider doesn't believe the injury is serious.
"He's doing alright," Schneider said following the game. "It was after that stretch. Obviously, I think this time of year everybody is grinding a little bit and he just kind of irritated his hammy - but it's just tightness. He's going to get an MRI tonight just to rule everything out and we'll see how he is tomorrow."

Schneider was asked why Guerrero remained in the game until the fifth inning.
"He went back out there and I think he just wanted to test it out a little bit and wanted to be sure that he wasn't going to really aggravate it," Schneider said. "I trust him - he knows himself really well. I can't afford to lose him for an extended period of time so partially precautionary, too. Hopefully he's good to go in the next day or two."
Guerrero's appeared in all but one of Toronto's 125 games this season. He leads the Blue Jays with 21 home runs and an .894 OPS.
The 26-year-old's been incredibly durable throughout his career, missing just 13 games over the last six seasons. He's never been on the IL in his seven-year career.
