Cyborg inks new multi-fight deal to remain with UFC

Cris Cyborg left the negotiating table with far more than her next fight this week.

In addition to a title defense opposite Holly Holm at UFC 219, the featherweight queen inked a new 15-month, multi-fight contract to remain with the promotion. Cyborg announced the development through her website following a Friday report from ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

The 32-year-old had reportedly entertained fighting out her rather tumultuous UFC stint, but ultimately came to terms with the company just six weeks prior to the year-end bill. She'll now look to extend her winning streak to a gaudy 19 in her first defense of the title she won with a third-round TKO of Tonya Evinger this past July at UFC 214, while Holm aims to become the promotion's first female two-division champion.

UFC 219 is scheduled for Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The outfit has not yet announced whether the matchup will headline the card.
