Marshman yanked from UFC London bout vs. Scott

Jack Marshman's UFC welterweight debut will have to wait.

The Welshman has been pulled from Saturday's UFC Fight Night 127 in London for precautionary reasons related to his weight cut, the promotion confirmed Thursday following a report from MMAjunkie's Mike Bohn.

On Thursday morning, Marshman, who was trying to cut down to 171 pounds for the first time, told MMAjunkie's Chamatkar Sandhu that he was having a rough go of it. His date with Bradley Scott - who's also competed in the UFC primarily as a middleweight and had stepped in for an injured Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos on short notice - has been scrapped as a result.

Marshman alternated wins and losses over four promotional bouts at 185 pounds. He last tapped to a first-round rear-naked choke courtesy of Antonio Carlos Junior at UFC Fight Night 119 in October.

Heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Volkov will clash in Saturday's main event.
