John Lineker is out of his UFC Greenville fight against Rob Font on Saturday after suffering a cut above his left eyebrow, manager Alex Davis told ESPN's Ariel Helwani.

The UFC has yet to confirm whether Lineker (31-9) will be replaced on the card or if the bout will be removed altogether.

After suffering the cut Thursday, the bantamweight was sent to hospital and had the wound glued in hopes of salvaging the fight.

Font (16-4) was originally scheduled to fight Cody Stamann on the promotion's first card in South Carolina. Lineker stepped in as a late replacement two weeks ago after Stamann suffered a shoulder injury.

UFC Greenville will be headlined by Renato Moicano vs. Chan Sung Jung.
