Police body cam footage shows Jones was emotional after arrest

Jon Jones was arrested Thursday morning in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for aggravated DWI and three other charges.

Police body cam footage shows the UFC light heavyweight champion underwent multiple sobriety tests before eventually being handcuffed.

Jones told an officer he went for a drive because he was "stir crazy" - seemingly because of the coronavirus pandemic. New Mexico issued a shelter in place order earlier this week.

Before one of the tests, which involved standing on one leg, Jones informed the officer he has "really bad" short-term memory loss. During a different test, which involved taking nine steps in a straight line, Jones said he has attention deficit disorder (ADD) and gets "punched in the head for a living," and asked to restart the test.

Jones admitted to drinking vodka earlier in the day.

Following his arrest, the fighter grew emotional and said he wanted to be with his family.

Jones was released from custody later Thursday. His first court date is set for April 8.
