With MMA events currently postponed or canceled due to the coronavirus, what would fighters be doing for a living if they couldn't compete? We asked them.

Colby Covington - UFC welterweight

"To be honest, I'd probably be coaching, you know? I'd probably be sharing my knowledge that I have and giving it back to other kids so they can go chase their dreams and accomplish everything that they want out of life. Just like I'm doing with my life. You know, as a kid, I set out to be a world champion. Believe in your dreams and never give up."

Alexander Volkanovski - UFC featherweight champion

"I used to play Rugby league, but I was a concreter before then. I wasn't bad at concreting, so maybe concreting."

Demetrious Johnson - Former UFC flyweight champion

"I'd probably work in a warehouse somewhere."

Jessica Eye - UFC women's flyweight

"I've been telling everybody lately, like, why didn't I choose tennis? They make way more money ... like why didn't I choose that? But I think that I would be some type of cook or restaurant owner, to be honest. Like I would do something in the food industry. I'm just so passionate about food and nutrition. As well as both spectrums of it. Like I'm the same person that will eat a salad but then I'll eat six cupcakes."

Arjan Bhullar - Former UFC heavyweight

"I'd be involved with the family business, for sure. I would find a way to still connect with people and give back in some manner."

Eryk Anders - UFC middleweight

"Before I started doing this full time, I was actually going to school to be a firefighter. So I'd probably doing something like that."

Gerald Meerschaert - UFC middleweight

"Well, I was in school to be a music teacher, so I guess that."

Scott Holtzman - UFC lightweight

"It's tough because I sat in a cubicle for a while, and it drove me crazy. I'd have to say something (like) exercise, fitness, something like that. I seem to be drawn to that. So I'd say I would have found my way to that."

Joanne Calderwood - UFC women's flyweight title challenger

"I'd probably still be working as a nursing assistant. That's what I was doing before and I was hoping to go to university and do my nursing degree. So I'd probably be a nurse by now. But I can't see anything else because I've been doing this since I was (around) 12, so it's all I know. But yeah probably a nurse if this didn't take over my life."

Julio Arce - UFC featherweight

"I'd probably be working like in a doctor's office, filing, or ... just helping out doing filing, paperwork, computer work. That's why I'm glad I got into martial arts because I love doing this and I love teaching it."

Lando Vannata - UFC lightweight

"Fly wingsuits. I still need to get my skydiving license, man, I just keep putting it off."

Jason Knight - Former UFC featherweight

"If I wasn't fighting, I know for sure I would either be building houses or I'd be working shipyards or you know, like a power plant or something like that - whatever gets the bills paid. ... Anything that you build with your hands, you get to walk away and look at like, 'Damn, I did that.' I enjoy the type of stuff."

Andrea Lee - UFC women's flyweight

"Hopefully still in something that involves fitness. Training people, maybe as a personal fitness trainer."

Gillan Robertson - UFC women's flyweight

"Probably something in the animal field. Before I started fighting, all I did was volunteer with animals and work with animals."

Bryan Caraway - Former UFC bantamweight

"A doctor. I was studying pre-med to go to medical school. That's where my life was heading towards if I wasn't fighting. It would be either racing motocross or supercross or going to school to be a doctor."

Neil Magny - UFC welterweight

"One-hundred percent I'd be in law enforcement right now if I wasn't a fighter. I actually had to make that choice about six years ago. I literally got called to the Chicago Police Academy on the same week that I got a call from the UFC to be on 'The Ultimate Fighter.' So if I wasn't going to be fighting, I'd 100% be involved in law enforcement right now."
