NASCAR releases revised schedule through June 21

NASCAR announced on Thursday the schedule for its next installment of races through June 21, which is punctuated at Talladega and includes five Cup Series races.

The schedule is as follows:

June 20 Talladega Xfinity
June 21 Talladega Cup

All scheduled races through June 21 will be run without fans in attendance.

The NASCAR season is scheduled to resume on Sunday, May 17, starting with the Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Raceway after more than two months of postponements due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"As we prepare for our return to racing at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, the industry has been diligent in building the return-to-racing schedule," executive vice president and chief racing development officer Steve O'Donnell said in the release. "We are eager to expand our schedule while continuing to work closely with the local governments in each of the areas we will visit. We thank the many government officials for their guidance, as we share the same goal in our return - the safety for our competitors and the communities in which we race."
