Lue: Rose sprained ankle vs. Bucks, 'it doesn't look good'

The Cleveland Cavaliers didn't leave the BMO Harris Bradley Center unscathed on Friday night, despite beating the Milwaukee Bucks by 19 points.

Head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters following Cleveland's impressive 116-97 victory that point guard Derrick Rose sprained his ankle early in the fourth quarter, and that he'd likely miss Saturday's outing against the Orlando Magic.

"It doesn't look good," said Lue, according to The Athletic's Jason Lloyd.

Should Rose be held out, backup Jose Calderon would get the start in his place.

Rose scored 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting in 22 minutes of action against Milwaukee, adding two rebounds, an assist, and a pair of steals.

Cleveland is already without All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas, who may not see the floor until January as he recovers from an injured hip. Should Rose miss an extended period of time, if any, Calderon would be the only point guard left standing. Veteran Dwyane Wade has experience running the point, at least, and could always be slotted in.

Rose missed 18 games in his one-and-only year with the New York Knicks, some of which came as a result of surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
