Bad news for the Denver Nuggets.

Power forward Paul Millsap will undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist and could be sidelined for three months, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Millsap suffered the injury Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Initial X-rays reportedly came back clean, but he missed Monday's win over the Sacramento Kings.

Losing the 32-year-old for any amount of time is a blow to the Nuggets, who currently sit sixth in the West. Millsap signed with Denver as a free agent this past summer and is second on the team behind Nikola Jokic in scoring and rebounding.
