Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson had to be helped off the court in a wheelchair Monday against the Chicago Bulls after falling awkwardly on his left leg in the third quarter.

After driving to the basket, Johnson's legs tangled with those of Bulls center Robin Lopez, and his left knee appeared to buckle as he hit the floor. The 25-year-old was then unable to put pressure on the injured leg, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel, necessitating a wheelchair to make his way to the locker room.

The Heat later announced that Johnson actually suffered a sprained left ankle on the play and X-rays were negative, courtesy of Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

Johnson is averaging 12.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists this season in 39 games (11 starts).
