The Memphis Grizzlies announced that starting power forward JaMychal Green underwent a surgical procedure Saturday to mend a broken jaw suffered on Friday versus the Atlanta Hawks.

The Grizzlies offered no official timeline for Green's recovery. He's likely to miss four-to-six weeks, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, who added that Green isn't expected to be cleared for contact for a month.

Since emerging as a rotation player with Memphis at the start of the 2015-16 season, Green has averaged 8.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 24.2 minutes per game. He's started 146 out of 212 appearances during that span.

With Green sidelined late in Friday's game and his team nursing a 121-98 lead, the Grizzlies played the final 6:19 of regulation with a frontcourt tandem of veteran Omri Casspi and rookie Jaren Jackson Jr.
