Long before their simultaneous pro careers, twins Marcus and Markieff Morris say they used a tag-team approach to the world of academia.

“We switched classes a few times actually,” Marcus told The Athletic's Jay King and Fred Katz. “You know what, in high school we had all the same classes. In college, we had all the same classes. Probably in middle school, we switched classes.”

Just as the brothers have slightly different skill sets on the court - the Boston Celtics' Marcus has generally been the superior 3-point shooter, while the Washington Wizards' Markieff has the edge as a rebounder - they also had differing areas of expertise in school.

“He took a math test and then I took his reading test because he was just better. He was better at the subject,” Marcus explained. “And then we switched back at lunchtime.”
