Zach LaVine will miss at least the next two games due to a left ankle injury he suffered late in the Chicago Bulls' loss to the Orlando Magic in Mexico City on Thursday.

LaVine said he felt "something pop," according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, and underwent an MRI on Friday that revealed a sprained deltoid ligament.

The Bulls guard arrived back in Chicago on Saturday and is expected to undergo more tests. He's currently in a walking boot.

"We will create a plan of action (when we know more). Hopeful for a good evaluation. He will not play tonight or Monday," head coach Jim Boylen said.

Boylen added, "He's seeing our guys right now and some specialists because we want to get as much information as we can for a diagnosis.”

The 23-year-old has started 28 games for a Bulls squad that sits in the cellar of the Eastern Conference with a 6-23 record entering play Saturday.

LaVine is averaging a team-leading 23.8 points and 4.8 assists per contest.
