The Cleveland Cavaliers signed point guard Cameron Payne to a 10-day contract on Sunday.
Payne was released by the Chicago Bulls on Thursday to clear up a roster spot following a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies which brought Wayne Selden and MarShon Brooks to the Windy City.
The 24-year-old made 31 appearances for Chicago this season, averaging 5.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 0.6 steals in 17.3 minutes per game.
He'll fill a vacancy created by the departing Patrick McCaw, who the Cavaliers released one week after signing him to a non-guaranteed two-year contract.
