Washington Wizards point guard John Wall underwent surgery in Green Bay, Wis., on Tuesday morning to repair his ruptured Achilles tendon, according to The Athletic's David Aldridge.

Wall's surgery "could not have gone better," a source told Aldridge, who added that the five-time All-Star's recovery timeline is still 12 months.

Before going down, the 28-year-old Wall had averaged 20 points, 9.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals dating back to the start of the 2017-18 campaign, though he played in just 73 regular-season games in that span due to injuries. He last suited up on Dec. 26.
