Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Thursday for his outburst toward an official during Wednesday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, the league announced.

Kerr reacted to a fourth-quarter flagrant foul call against Draymond Green by slamming his clipboard on the sideline and shouting at referee Ken Mauer, who then ejected him. Kerr was ultimately restrained by Kevin Durant.

Explaining his outrage after the game, Kerr said, "I was just shocked that it was called a flagrant foul. That was head-scratching that could be called a flagrant foul."
