Dallas Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has been shut down for the remainder of the 2018-19 regular season as a result of a stress reaction in his left tibia, head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters on Thursday.

The 27-year-old was acquired by Dallas Jan. 31 from the New York Knicks as part of the package that included Kristaps Porzingis.

He made 19 appearances and 17 starts for the Mavericks, averaging 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 0.6 steals in 29.4 minutes per game.

Dallas has 11 games remaining on its schedule and is officially out of the playoff picture with an overall record of 28-43.
