The Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in speaking to J.B. Bickerstaff about their head-coaching vacancy, sources told the New York Times' Marc Stein.

Stein reports the Cavaliers' coaching search is still in its early stages. On Sunday, Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor reported the Cavs wish to speak with coaching candidates currently on playoff teams. A source also told Fedor that Rick Pitino isn't a candidate for the job.

The Memphis Grizzlies fired Bickerstaff on April 11 after less than two seasons as the team's head coach. He was previously the interim coach of the Houston Rockets for 71 games in 2015-16 following the firing of Kevin McHale.
