Giannis takes shot at Celtics ahead of series vs. Raptors

Even with the Boston Celtics in the rearview mirror, Giannis Antetokounmpo couldn't help but fire a parting shot at the team his Milwaukee Bucks eliminated ahead of the Eastern Conference finals against the Toronto Raptors.

"Against Boston, you can go down 1-0 and still be fine. But against Toronto, it's hard to be in that spot when you lose the first game in your home," Antetokounmpo said Tuesday, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews.

Milwaukee dropped Game 1 at home during its second-round series against Boston, losing by 22 points and prompting former Celtics All-Star and current ESPN analyst Paul Pierce to declare afterward that the series was over. The Bucks wouldn't lose again from that point on, stringing together four consecutive victories by an average margin of 16.2 points.

Antetokounmpo averaged 28.4 points on 52.9 percent shooting against the Celtics, adding 10.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 rejections while playing 34 minutes a game.

Milwaukee and Toronto will clash Wednesday in Game 1 at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks took the season series 3-1.
