Iguodala's MRI comes back clean, questionable for Game 4
The Golden State Warriors appear to have dodged a bullet.
Golden State announced on Sunday that forward Andre Iguodala is listed as questionable for Game 4 after an MRI on his left calf came back clean, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.
Iguodala exited during the first quarter of Saturday's affair against the Portland Trail Blazers but returned halfway through the second frame. The 35-year-old saw some action in the second half before sitting out the entire fourth quarter for precautionary reasons.
"He was sore," head coach Steve Kerr said postgame, according to Friedell. "Lower leg, just had some soreness ... we didn't want to risk anything and put him back in the game. So, when we took him out mid-third, trainer said that'll be it for him."
The 2015 Finals MVP finished Game 3 with two points on 1-of-5 shooting while adding five boards and two assists in 18 minutes. Iguodala has enjoyed a resurgence in the postseason, averaging 10.1 points, 4.3 boards, 3.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest.
Golden State is currently without stars Kevin Durant (calf) and DeMarcus Cousins (quad). If the Warriors finish off the Trail Blazers on Monday night, they will have nine days of rest before Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
