Sixers' Ennis: 'We are going to walk to The Finals'

James Ennis turned down lucrative offers this offseason to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers and pursue a title. He's very confident in his team's chances, especially after Kawhi Leonard left the Eastern Conference to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.

"The East is going to be wide open," Ennis said, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "We had a good chance last year. Kawhi is gone. He went to the West. So we are going to walk to the Finals in the East."

The Toronto Raptors eliminated Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference semifinals this past season, winning Game 7 after Leonard hit a fadeaway buzzer-beater.

The Sixers lost Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick this offseason, but they brought back Tobias Harris while adding Al Horford and Josh Richardson.

Ennis was acquired at the 2019 trade deadline from the Houston Rockets. The 29-year-old then averaged 5.3 points on 41 percent shooting across 18 appearances for Philadelphia.

He became a key part of the Sixers' rotation during the playoffs, posting 7.5 points per contest in 21.1 minutes per game.
