The Los Angeles Lakers have claimed Kostas Antetokounmpo off free-agency waivers, sources told The Athletics' Shams Charania.

Kostas, the younger brother of NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, was waived by the Dallas Mavericks on Friday and reportedly heads to the Lakers on a two-way deal.

The 21-year-old spent the majority of last season in the G League, averaging 10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game in 40 appearances.

The Toronto Raptors were planning to claim Antetokounmpo, sources told EuroHoops' Varlas Nikos, but they apparently lost out to the Lakers.
