The Sacramento Kings traded big man Dewayne Dedmon, a 2020 second-round pick, and a 2021 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for forward Jabari Parker and center Alex Len, the team announced.

The Kings signed Dedmon to a three-year, $40-million contract last summer, but the 30-year-old quickly fell out of head coach Luke Walton's rotation. He then publicly requested a trade in December, for which the league fined him $50,000.

Moving Dedmon may also provide necessary financial relief for Sacramento. The Kings are optimistic they have created enough flexibility to match any offer for Bogdan Bogdanovic next summer when he becomes a restricted free agent, sources told Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Parker hasn't played a game since Jan. 3 due to a shoulder injury. The former No. 2 pick is averaging 15 points and six rebounds in 32 appearances this season. He owns a $6.5-million player option on his contract next season, according to Spotrac.

Len has also been sidelined recently due to injury, missing nine of the Hawks' last 11 contests. The center is averaging 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in his second year in Atlanta. He will become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
