Doncic will return from 7-game absence vs. Kings

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic told reporters Tuesday that he'll be "ready" to play Wednesday versus the Sacramento Kings, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

The 20-year-old has missed the Mavericks' past seven games after turning his right ankle during a team practice in January. He missed four contests earlier this season after injuring the same ankle against the Miami Heat on Dec. 14.

Doncic is averaging 28.8 points, 9.5 boards, and 8.7 assists across 43 appearances this season. The Slovenian is set to start in his first All-Star Game on Sunday in Chicago.

Dallas went 3-4 during Doncic's absence and currently sits seventh in the Western Conference with a 32-22 record.
