It's well known how much pride LeBron James takes in his body.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar reportedly spends seven figures a year to help maintain his physique and even has a hyperbaric chamber in his home in Akron, Ohio.

But according to James' former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Tristan Thompson, every day is like a cheat day for The King.

"He has the worst f------ diet ever," Thompson told The Athletic's Joe Vardon and Jason Lloyd. "Ask him what he eats for breakfast. He has like five (pieces of) french toast, drowns it in syrup with strawberries and bananas. Then he has like a four-egg omelet and then he goes and just f------ dunks on somebody. It doesn't make sense.

"He eats desserts with every meal. He'll come with his one-week diet, vegan crap, but he literally eats like it doesn't make sense. He's really a specimen. He eats like shit."

Thompson played alongside James from 2014-18. He remembers attempting to follow the latter's eating habits one season, but he couldn't shed the excess calories.

"I started gaining weight and said, 'F--- this,'" Thompson recalls. "I mean, it works for him. He loves sweets. He loves sweets. He eats desserts and French toast. It's crazy how his body just burns it."

At age 35, James continues to wreak havoc on his opponents. The three-time Finals MVP is averaging 25 points and 7.8 boards to go along with an NBA-leading 10.8 dimes per contest this season. Should he maintain his lead in that last category, James will become the second-oldest player behind Steve Nash to win the assists title.

The Lakers sit atop the Western Conference with a 41-12 record heading into the All-Star break.
