Minnesota Timberwolves forward Evan Turner will work out for the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

The 31-year-old has received permission from Minnesota to work out for the Clippers with a buyout pending, according to Haynes.

Turner was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in June 2019 but appeared in just 19 games for the rebuilding club. He was sent to Minnesota last week as part of a four-team, 12-player blockbuster deal.

The former second overall pick would provide the Clippers with a secondary ball-handler and playmaker while also giving them another versatile wing defender.

Los Angeles currently has two open roster spots after trading Derrick Walton Jr. and waiving Isaiah Thomas.
