Nine more NBA players have tested positive for the coronavirus, the league and National Basketball Players Association announced Thursday.

A total of 344 players were tested between June 24-29, which amounts to a 2.6% positive test rate among that group.

Overall, 25 NBA players have tested positive since testing began June 23.

"Any player, coach, or team staff member who tested positive will remain in self-isolation until he satisfies public health protocols for discontinuing isolation and has been cleared by a physician," the joint statement said.

Of the 884 team staff members tested since June 23, 10 have received positive results.

Florida, where the NBA season is set to resume, has seen its coronavirus cases increase drastically in recent weeks. Thursday's 10,109 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 set a new single-day record for the state, according to The Washington Post.

The NBA's 22 remaining teams are set to arrive at Orlando's Walt Disney World Resort between July 7-9, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
