Toronto Raptors guard Patrick McCaw will depart the NBA campus in order to seek treatment in New York for a recurring benign mass on the back of his left knee, the team announced Friday.

No recovery timetable has been established. Under NBA rules, the Raptors cannot replace McCaw with another player. Their roster stands at 16 players.

McCaw has been inactive in the three games Toronto has played since arriving in Florida.
