Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley has been fined $25,000 for verbal abuse directed toward a game official in Saturday's contest versus the Denver Nuggets, the league announced Monday.

With the Clippers trailing late in the fourth quarter, Beverley was thrown out of the game after accruing back-to-back technical fouls.

Apart from fines related to technical fouls and ejections, it is the first discipline the veteran guard has received from the league since being fined for flopping in November, according to Spotrac.

Beverley was also fined $25,000 back in October for throwing the ball into the stands after the Clippers beat the Los Angeles Lakers.

Game 3 of the Clippers-Nuggets series is set for 9 p.m. ET.
