The Sacramento Kings have interviewed Denver Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth for their own GM vacancy, a source told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.

Sacramento's job opening is the top position in its basketball operations. Former Kings great Vlade Divac stepped down as GM in August.

Booth was elevated to his current position in July after Arturas Karnisovas left Denver to become the Chicago Bulls' new executive vice president of basketball operations. The 44-year-old currently ranks second behind Tim Connelly, who's the Nuggets' president of basketball operations.

Booth previously served as Denver's assistant general manager for nearly three years and was influential in the draft selections of Michael Porter Jr. and Bol Bol.

The Ohio native also had separate stints as a scout for the New Orleans Pelicans and the director of player personnel for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played 10 years in the NBA for seven teams, including the Kings.

Timberwolves executive vice president Sachin Gupta, Houston Rockets assistant GM Monte McNair, and ex-Atlanta Hawks GM Wes Wilcox are reportedly among the others on the Kings' shortlist.
