Danny Green has acknowledged he and his fiancee have received death threats following the Los Angeles Lakers guard's missed shot in the closing seconds of Game 5.

"I hope they are that passionate about voting or getting justice for these people who deserve justice or get some better change along in the country," Green said on Sunday in response to those who've issued threats against him.

Green has received heavy backlash after failing to capitalize on the potential game-winning jumper against the Miami Heat. The two-time champion said he could've taken a different approach when asked to revisit the crucial possession.

"I had more time than I realized. Should have taken more time, probably rushed it a little bit," Green said. "I'd give anything to get that shot back again, trust me."

Green's teammates have openly supported him following the missed shot, most notably LeBron James. The Lakers star defended his decision to set up Green for the pivotal jumper immediately after Game 5, telling reporters he and his teammates trusted the sharpshooter in that situation.

The Lakers and Green can close out the NBA Finals with a win over the Heat in Game 6 on Sunday night.
