The Los Angeles Clippers officially signed veteran big man DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract, the team announced Monday.

Cousins began the 2020-21 campaign with the Houston Rockets. He averaged 9.6 points, 7.6 boards, and 2.4 assists over 25 appearances.

However, the former All-Star also shot a career-low 37.6% from the field, including a subpar 43% clip on shot attempts at the rim, which ranks in the first percentile among big men, according to Cleaning the Glass.

Injuries have taken their toll on Cousins over the past few years, but he's only two years removed from averaging 16.3 points per contest.

Cousins will provide some additional depth at the five behind Ivica Zubac. Starting center Serge Ibaka has missed the last 11 games due to a back injury.
