Indiana Pacers wing Caris LeVert will miss Tuesday's play-in game against the Charlotte Hornets due to health and safety protocols, the club announced.

LeVert is expected to be sidelined for 10-14 days in the event Indiana advances past the play-in tournament and into the postseason, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.

The 26-year-old has been a vital offensive weapon for the Pacers since arriving from the Brooklyn Nets as part of the James Harden blockbuster trade earlier this season. LeVert is averaging 20.7 points, 4.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 35 starts with Indiana.

LeVert's expected absence is another tough blow for a Pacers team dealing with their fair share of injuries. The NBA's Monday night injury report lists Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon as questionable for Tuesday's must-win contest with quad and hamstring injuries, respectively. Starting center Myles Turner is also out indefinitely with a partial plantar plate tear in his right big toe.
