76ers' Rivers expects Green to miss Game 4 due to calf injury
Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers thinks it's unlikely Danny Green will be available for Game 4 versus the Atlanta Hawks after the veteran wing exited just four minutes into Friday's 127-111 win due to a calf strain.
"I have no idea," the veteran head coach said of the 33-year-old's prognosis postgame, per The Athletic's Derek Bodner. "You know, a calf injury ... just my doctor's degree, I would tell you that calf injuries aren't great."
Rivers added: "I'm not ruling Danny out, but I'm pretty much ruling him out. I doubt if he plays in the next game."
Green was an iron man in the regular season, missing just three contests - one being the last game prior to the playoffs.
With Green out of action for most of Game 3, shooting guard Furkan Korkmaz logged a postseason-high 27 minutes off the bench - well above the 10.3 minutes per game he averaged prior to Friday. He finished with 14 points and a game-best plus-minus of 24.
"I just need to step up if I need to. I am ready," Korkmaz said, according to the Bucks County Courier Times' Tom Moore. "I hope it's not serious."
