The NBA's Players Association has chosen Tamika Tremaglio as its new executive director, the association announced on Wednesday.

The change comes as incumbent director Michele Roberts is set to retire after eight years in the role.

Tremaglio will transition into the position after spending nine years as a consultant for the league's union. She will be retiring from her current position as managing principal of Deloitte's Greater Washington practice in order to take on the job full-time.

Portland's CJ McCollum sits as the president of the players' association, with Golden State's Andre Iguodala ranking as the first vice president.
