Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell will be evaluated Tuesday after sustaining a hamstring injury late in the team's 102-77 Game 5 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

With the Mavericks running away with the contest and up 28 in the fourth quarter, Mitchell landed hard after making a jump pass and immediately favored his left leg.

He was then seen walking off the floor with a limp and didn't return to the game.

"I wanted to try and finish, and it tightened up on me, and I couldn't run back on defense, so I had to come out," Mitchell told reporters, including The Salt Lake Tribune's Eric Walden, after the game.

Mitchell said he'd "be fine" for Game 6 on Thursday.

The 25-year-old struggled mightily before he was removed, scoring nine points on 4-of-15 shooting and 0-of-7 from beyond the arc while adding just two rebounds and one assist.
