Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul was called for a controversial sixth foul in the fourth quarter of the team's 111-101 Game 4 loss against the Dallas Mavericks.

The veteran was called after making contact with Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson as he jumped to retrieve his own missed shot attempt.

Referee crew chief Kane Fitzgerald discussed Paul's final foul following the game: "As Brunson jumps to get the rebound, Chris Paul grabs his right wrist causing him to lose his balance in the air and fall backward."

Paul fouled out for just the fourth time of his playoff career, and his 23 minutes played were the fewest he's ever played in a contest in which he's fouled out in.

He finished with five points, five rebounds, and seven assists. The Suns will look to bounce back in Game 5 on Tuesday.
