Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid was at a loss for words on Tuesday when asked about Denver Nuggets All-Star Nikola Jokic reportedly winning MVP for the second straight season.

"Last year I campaigned about it, this year I answered questions when asked," Embiid told reporters, including The Philly Voice's Kyle Neubeck, after the 76ers' Game 5 loss to the Miami Heat.

"The next, you know, few years before I retire it's almost like, I don't know what else I have to do to win it."

Embiid reportedly lost out on the hardware despite putting up 30.6 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game and becoming the first center to lead the NBA in scoring since Shaquille O'Neal in 2000. His 76ers also posted a better regular-season record and advanced farther in the playoffs than the Nuggets.

With the 28-year-old clearly frustrated by the results, he's now shifting his focus to winning his first championship.

"It's really time to really put all my energy into the bigger picture, which is to win the whole thing," Embiid added.

Despite Embiid's best intentions, his growing list of physical ailments has hampered his success in Philadelphia's second-round series. The team now trails 3-2 after Tuesday night's blowout defeat.
