Murray, Banchero feud on social media after testy pro-am game

There was no love lost between Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray and Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero after a pro-am game in their home state of Washington on Sunday.

Late in the first quarter of the contest, Murray tricked Banchero with a shot-fake and a pass-fake behind his back, leaving this year's No. 1 pick completely turned around as the newly-acquired Hawks guard rose up for an alley-oop off the backboard.

To add insult to injury, Murray then made a hand motion, signaling Banchero as "too small," and whipped the ball back at the Magic forward.

Things remained chippy throughout the tilt, hosted by NBA veteran Isaiah Thomas, before Banchero and Murray took matters online.

After the game, Banchero pointed out that Murray had unfollowed his fellow Seattle native on Instagram and told last season's steals leader to "guard up next time."

Murray clapped back by calling out Banchero for "flexing" his status as the No. 1 pick, saying the rookie "changed from the humble kid you always was."

With the beef seemingly unsettled, both Murray and Banchero will be able to back their words on the court, as the Hawks and Magic will play four times next season as members of the Eastern Conference's Southeast Division.
