After the Golden State Warriors failed to win a single game during their six-game road trip, veteran guard Klay Thompson said the team needs to play harder.

"We just need to bring more of a sense of urgency," Thompson said, according to ESPN's Kendra Andrews. "We had a long run last year, but 2022 is over. It's time to kick into high gear and play that championship level of basketball that we're used to. I fully expect us to do that."

Golden State dropped matches against the Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, New Orleans Pelicans, and Miami Heat twice. The Warriors are the first defending champions to start the season 0-6 on the road, per Sportsnet Stats.

The Warriors are the worst rebounding team in the league per 100 possessions with 38.8 per contest, according to NBA.com. Golden State also ranks in the top five in turnovers per 100 possessions with 16.1 per game.

"There are times in the NBA season when things can go off the rails a little bit," head coach Steve Kerr said. "A big part of being a great team, being a solid organization, is just understanding how to work through that."

The Warriors return home to square off against the Sacramento Kings on Monday at 10 p.m. ET.
