Celtics' Brown fined $25K for throat-slash gesture vs. Pistons

The NBA fined Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown $25,000 for "an inappropriate gesture" made toward Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart during Wednesday's contest.
Brown made a throat-slashing gesture after dunking on Stewart with 12 seconds remaining in the first quarter of the Celtics' 130-120 victory in Boston.

Brown said postgame he was expecting to hear from the league, adding that he got "caught up in the moment."
The 2024 NBA Finals MVP finished with 28 points, six rebounds, nine assists, and three steals in the victory. The Celtics return to action Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
