Toronto Raptors big man Kelly Olynyk made his season debut in Saturday's 125-118 loss to the Dallas Mavericks after missing the first 23 games of the season with a back injury.

The 33-year-old Canadian had 13 points and four rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench.

Olynyk averaged 12.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 28 games with the Raptors last season. He was acquired from the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline and inked a two-year, $26.25-million extension in March, the maximum extension available to him.

Center Jakob Poeltl was in the starting lineup after not being available for Toronto's 129-92 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday with an illness. The Austrian finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Mavericks star Luka Doncic tallied his 79th career triple-double, passing James Harden and Wilt Chamberlain for sole possession of seventh on the league's all-time list. Doncic poured in a game-high 30 points to go along with 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Mavs guard Kyrie Irving added 29.

The 7-17 Raptors are 12th in the Eastern Conference after the loss. Toronto will host the New York Knicks on Monday night.

Dallas improved to 16-8 and will play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup on Tuesday.
