Nets' Thomas expected to miss rest of season with hamstring strain

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a left hamstring strain, the team announced Saturday.

Thomas sustained the injury during Thursday's loss to the Chicago Bulls.

The 23-year-old has struggled with hamstring issues this season. He missed 13 games across November and December with his first strain and was sidelined close to two months after suffering the injury a second time Jan. 2.

Thomas was having a breakout season prior to the injuries. He averaged a career-high 24 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 43.8% shooting in 25 games.

Thomas will be a restricted free agent this offseason.

The Nets currently sit 12th in the Eastern Conference at 22-44.
