The Boston Celtics are converting two-way guard and G League MVP JD Davison to a standard, two-year NBA contract, his agent told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Davison averaged 25.1 points, 7.6 assists, and 5.6 rebounds for Boston's G League affiliate in Maine this season.
The 22-year-old has appeared in 35 NBA games for the Celtics since they drafted him in 2022. He holds a career average of 1.7 points per game on 38.9% shooting.
Davison fills the Celtics' final roster spot to end the season.
Boston has already clinched the East's 2-seed and will play the winner of the play-in game between the Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks in the first round.
