Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey and San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle were named to the All-Rookie first team, the league announced Tuesday.

The pair was joined by Washington Wizards forward Alex Sarr, No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher, and Edey's Grizzlies teammate Jaylen Wells to round out the five-man squad.

A group of 100 NBA writers and broadcasters vote to select the All-Rookie teams.

Castle won the 2024-25 Rookie of the Year after leading all first-year players in points (1,190) and steals (74).

Risacher topped all rookies with four games of at least 30 points, including a career-high 38-point outing against the Brooklyn Nets in April.

Edey and Wells became the first Grizzlies duo to earn All-Rookie honors since Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke in 2019-20. Edey led all rookies in field-goal percentage (58%), as well as rebounds (8.3) and offensive rebounds (3.5) per game. Wells, the only second-rounder to make either All-Rookie team, started 74 games for the Grizzlies and emerged as one of Memphis' best perimeter defenders. He averaged 10.4 points while shooting 35.2% from three this season.

Sarr ranked No. 2 in rookie scoring (minimum 30 games played) with 13 points per contest. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks.

All-Rookie second team

The league recognized the first-year class' stellar big men by adding the Miami Heat's Kel'el Ware, the Portland Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan, and the New Orleans Pelicans' Yves Missi to the All-Rookie second team.

Chicago Bulls forward Matas Buzelis and Washington Wizards guard Bub Carrington also cracked the team.
